Marina bay is located in the southern part of Singapore. This is called 24/7 destination for the people who want to find new living and lifestyles, want to exchange business ideas. THE RESORT FEATURES

Las Vegas Sands developed this amazing structure. Marina Bay Sands is the world’s most expensive casino with the property cost of S$8 billion. The total area of the resort is 20 hectare. The resort consists of casino, a hotel with 2,561 rooms, convention and exhibition center which is spread over 120,000 sq.m area, shopping malls, a unique art and science museum, two sand theatres, seven celebrity chef restaurants, two floating pavilions. The casino is so big that there are 500 tables arranged and 1600 slot machines are operating. At the top of the complex there is the most amazing feature of the resort, a park which is named Sky Park. This park has the capacity of 3,900 people and an amazing 150m infinity swimming pool. This pool is on the top of the world’s largest cantilevered platform. The designer or architect of the project is Moshe Safdie architects. The engineers were from Arup & Parsons Brinkerhoff. The main contractor of this most amazing project was Ssang Yong Engineering & Construction. Some difficulties like labour shortage, global financial crisis and cost of material delayed the opening of the resort which was planned in 2009.

BEAUTY OF RESORT

It is one of the world’s ever best structures. Its construction is really an engineering and architectural wonder. The beauty of the resort starts with three 55 storey towers. These towers were built in 2009. The climax of the beauty is a sky terrace which is named Sands Sky Park. This park is spread over 1 hectare. This is not the end because infront of the three towers there are three blocks named Theatre block, Convention and exhibition block and Casino block those have been designed with ultimate sophistication and beauty. When you move next to the blocks you find Art and Science Museum. This is the ultimate beauty in itself. It’s been designed in the shape of Lotus flower. The beauty of the museum is a laser light show in the night and a waterfall in the morning through the roof of the museum. A light and water show is presented which is the largest in the Southeast Asia.





When you reach the top of the three towers there is the most spectacular scenery. This is a park named Sky Park covering 1 hectare area with the world’s largest elevated swimming pool. The edge of the pool is 146 m long and gives the infinity look. The pool seems spread till the horizon.  The features of the swimming pool are awesome. Pool is made of stainless steel which weighs 422,000 pounds and has the water capacity of 376,500 gallons. In Sky Park there are restaurants, nightclubs, gardens, hundreds of trees and plants.

Surfing

Siargao surfing is known throughout the world as a first class quality break. Which is reflected in the fact that Siargao surfing now has an International competition every October.

The season here starts in August but really pumps from September/October through to about March. This coincides with the northwestern monsoon and the high frequency of typhoons in the Pacific Ocean during this time.

Some world class breaks in Siargao include:

Cloud Nine
Cloud Nine has put Philippines surf on the world directory, it is a high quality wave for experienced surfer only. It is predominantly a right-hander but does have a small left as well. The wave itself is hollow and extremely powerful reef break, if you get it wrong you will land on the shallow reef. Cloud Nine can get to over three metres.

Stimpy’s
Stimpy’s is a left-hander for all the goofy’s out there. It can be a quite long ride following the reef into a small bay. Accessible only by boat, worth the effort though.

Jacking Horse
This is a wave that jacks up out of the blue and hits the reef with a fair bit of vengeance. Once past the reef it reforms on the inside of the reef to produce a nice right-hander. Good wave from about one metre up.

Pacifico
This is a goofy footers dream wave. A quality left hander that rides long. A beautiful barrel, located north of Pilar.

Rock Island
For a wave to test your ability look know further than Rock Island. This right-hander breaks on a rocky reef wrapping around a small rock island. It is fast, hollow and an extremely long ride.

There are numerous other breaks that work during the season, like elsewhere in the Philippines, if you do a little exploring you may find your own perfect break.

There are a number of resorts dotting the east coast of Siargao Island all geared for the tourist with particular attention to the surfer.
